About Andy Stroman, CLTC®

I’m Andy Stroman, an independent insurance professional specializing in long-term care insurance.

I help people understand the financial risk associated with a future long-term care need and decide whether it makes sense to transfer some of that risk to an insurance company.

If insurance does make sense, I help determine how much coverage to consider, find out what you may qualify for, compare the available companies and policies, and work through the application and underwriting process.

My background

I’ve spent my career around insurance, employee benefits, and financial decision-making.

Before working independently, I held roles with an insurance company, a multi-national insurance broker, and an employee benefits administration company. I later built an independent brokerage practice, where I’ve worked directly with individuals and families on health insurance, Medicare, and long-term care coverage.

As my clients and family members have encountered the challenges of needing care, I found myself increasingly drawn to long-term care insurance. It is a narrower field than most of the insurance work I had been doing, but it requires more judgment and creative problem-solving that’s quite rewarding. Finding the right solution depends on a client’s financial situation, health, family circumstances, and how much of the potential cost of care they are actually willing to take on themselves.

I hold the Certification in Long-Term Care (CLTC) designation and am a licensed life and health insurance professional. I also earned both my MBA and BA in Economics from the University of Georgia.

My background gives me a useful mix of insurance experience and financial training, but I try to keep the actual work with clients straightforward: understand the risk, decide how much of it you want to insure, find out what you may qualify for, and then compare the available options.

Licensing

I am a licensed insurance producer in multiple states. My legal and licensed name is Harrison Andrew Stroman, though I go by Andy Stroman professionally.

Independent insurance guidance

I’m independent, which means I’m not tied to one insurance company or one type of long-term care policy.

Depending on your situation, I may be able to help with traditional long-term care insurance, life insurance with long-term care benefits, and other forms of coverage.

I hold the Certification in Long-Term Care (CLTC) designation and am licensed to sell insurance.

My role is specifically the insurance piece of long-term care planning. I do not try to replace the work of your financial advisor, CPA, attorney, or other professionals involved in your planning.

If you want to talk through your own situation, you can schedule a consultation with me.
